Kristen Weaver - MSPT, Cert MDT, CMPT, Owner

The human body is so amazingly complex, yet designed to work efficiently and powerfully.  Even as a young child, I have been intrigued by how my bones, joints, and muscles work.  I continue to seek knowledge and wisdom in how strengthening, stretching, posture, balance, and hands on manual techniques can improve the healing process leading to a successful outcome for the patient.  I feel that it is such an incredible honor and privilege to be able to work one on one with an individual to help them achieve their goals and desires of being pain free, perform in sports activities, pick up their kids or grand kids, sleep, get back to work, and whatever it is they feel passionate about being able to achieve in regards to movement with their bodies.

As an athlete myself, I have endured and overcome many injuries including a sprained ankle, sprained wrist, shoulder tendinitis,  sprained knee, and low back pain.  I have safely and successfully remained active through 4 pregnancies and thankfully, through correct exercise brought my abs back together eliminating my diastasis after 4 births.  I am passionate about helping women to safely workout during pregnancy and to recover post-partum in a way that optimizes the strength, mobility, and power our bodies were created to have.

You will be treated as a whole person, not just the body part that hurts or is dysfunctional.  Oftentimes the area of injury is due to a dysfunction or weakness anywhere above or below the joint.  Through the unique model of Solid Rock Physical Therapy and Wellness, we are able to spend the time necessary to give thorough evaluation and treatment each session we work together.  I would absolutely love the opportunity to team with you through: (1) listening to you, (2) finding the source of your pain and dysfunction, (3) creating a plan, (4) performing significant hands on manual treatment and exercise guidance, and (5) getting you back to living the life you were created to live!

Thankfully, I was born into a family that appreciates and loves the outdoors along with the many sports and activities to do outside. I grew up water and snow skiing, hiking, exploring our country’s National parks, playing soccer and Polish dancing. In my senior year of high school, I had the incredible opportunity to be accepted into an internship program where I could intern at an automotive company in mechanical engineering and then another at a hospital in physical, speech, and occupational therapy in both outpatient and inpatient settings. It was fascinating for me to be able to see how rehabilitation (manual therapy and exercise) could help a person to heal. To gain more exposure to rehabilitation medicine, I volunteered in multiple settings and became employed as a rehabilitation tech at the Aspen Club and Spa. This work experience fueled my ambition to become a physical therapist so that I could help others to regain function and return to their sport aspirations.
